Sue Radford (chair) has spent 30 years in the media and has worked for the BBC, ITV and Sky News as a reporter, presenter, broadcast journalist across news, current affairs, arts and children’s. She has held senior management positions in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. Sue is Executive Director of Intermission Youth Theatre which helps transform the lives of disadvantaged 16-25 year olds through theatre, mentoring and life skills coaching.
Mark Browning is the CEO of Zinc Media Group PLC one of the UK’s largest nations and regions TV production companies. Zinc Media also own businesses in education and publishing. Prior to this he was Group Managing Director of ITN Productions, which worked across Television, Digital, Commercials, Branded Content and Sports production. In the early 2000’s Mark spent seven years with Heart, where he led the station to number 1 in London.
Matthew Barrett is a two-time Emmy and BAFTA award winning programme maker whose films have appeared on Netflix, BBC1 and BBC2, Channel 4, Discovery, National Geographic and PBS in the US and all over Europe. Matthew specialises in Science, History and Religion. He is currently the in-house executive producer at the independent producer Caravan. Previously he was creative director of the indie WMR and a consultant to WGBH/Boston. He spent 20 years at the BBC, starting out in News and Current Affairs, before moving to the Science and History departments, where he became editor of Horizon on BBC2.
Brian Muir is a town planning consultant and a partner with Muir Smith Evans LLP. For over 40 years Brian has also had a parallel ‘career’ as a radio producer with GRF Christian Radio, based in Glasgow. With GRF he has won over 50 broadcasting awards, including a Sony Gold. He currently chairs the Public Issues Group of the Baptist Union of Scotland and is deputy chair of Trans World Radio UK.
